Are you in a healthy place?
Neighbourhood food environments, diet and health
Research and policy meeting
This meeting was held 10.00am – 4pm, Tuesday 4 November 2014, Møller Centre, Cambridge #cedardiet14
Where we live, study and work, the shops and takeaways we use, and the social structures we inhabit have the potential to shape how we eat, our weight and our health. Many agencies and authorities are beginning to act in an effort to make the food environment healthier, but face challenges of evidence, law, economics, and politics.
So what do we really know about the connections between the neighbourhood food environment, diet and health, and how should policy and planning be used to promote public health? This meeting featured presentations by leading researchers and policymakers in this field, and included extensive discussion and interaction.
Thank you to all those who attended contributed to a successful day.
