Background and experience
Andy joined CEDAR  in September 2011 as a Career Development Fellow. Prior to this he worked as a Research Associate for the British Heart Foundation National Centre for Physical Activity and Health at Loughborough University. For his PhD, Andy investigated the physical activity and sedentary behaviour patterns of adolescents after school, also at Loughborough University, under the supervision of Professor Stuart Biddle and Dr Trish Gorely.

Work at CEDAR
Andy’s research here focused on the descriptive epidemiology of physical activity and sedentary behaviour in children and adolescents, the identification of modifiable correlates of these behaviours and the development and testing of interventions to increase physical activity and reduce sedentary behaviour.
