University of Cambridge

A PhD studentship is available in the Centre for Diet & Activity Research (CEDAR) at the MRC Epidemiology Unit, University of Cambridge. The studentship will focus on exploring the impact of the planned UK Soft Drinks Industry Levy on the extent and nature of soft drinks marketing.

A number of potential projects under this heading are possible and the successful candidate will work with the supervisors to determine which combination of these is most appropriate. These include using both existing and new data, and quantitative and qualitative methods. A small amount of funds may be available to purchase commercial data. The studentship will take place alongside a much larger evaluation of the UK Soft Drinks Industry Levy.
